We are not a contractor, and we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work. Any service agreement you enter is between you and the provider, on the provider’s terms.
2. Referrals and providers
We make reasonable efforts to work with licensed, insured providers, but you are responsible for verifying any provider’s licensing, insurance, pricing, and suitability before hiring them. We may receive compensation for referrals as described in our advertising disclosure. We are not a party to, and accept no liability for, the work performed, pricing charged, or conduct of any provider.
3. Content disclaimer
Cost figures on the Site are estimates compiled from published industry data; your actual costs will vary by market, damage, and timing. Guides — including DIY instructions — are general information, not professional advice for your specific situation. Emergency property work involves real hazards (falls, electricity, contaminated water, structural instability); you assume all risk of applying anything you read here. Insurance information on the Site is general in nature — your policy’s actual language controls, and coverage questions should go to your insurer or a licensed professional.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Site: no unlawful use, no scraping at abusive rates, no submitting false service requests, and no attempting to interfere with the Site’s operation.

Site content (text, design, graphics) is owned by ShieldBoardUp or its licensors. Brief quotation with attribution and a link is welcome; wholesale reproduction is not.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHIELDBOARDUP AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM SERVICES PERFORMED BY THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS, YOUR USE OF INFORMATIONAL CONTENT, OR YOUR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
